OUT-OF-STATE WAIVER APPLICATION
The Division of Student Affairs is pleased to announce the opening of the Out of State
Student Fee Waiver (OSW) application for the fall 2022 and spring 2023 semesters.
Please complete the application in full (do not omit any questions). Priority will be given to students with a 3.25 or higher GPA, an average of 15 credits completed per term, and filed their FAFSA by January 1,
2022. The OSW is a merit-based award with a need-based component.
The application will open for 30 days (from March 1 – 31). The final determination
of eligible students will be made by May 1, 2022.
Student must be eligible to receive federal student aid and meet the following criteria:
Cumulative FAMU GPA of 3.25 or Higher
2022/23 FAFSA filed by January 1, 2022
All relevant documents submitted to financial aid by April 1, 2022
Completed a minimum of one academic year at FAMU
Average 15 completed credits at FAMU per academic year completed
