The 2026 Out-Of-State Fee Waiver Application will be open from March 1st - March 31st

The Out-Of-State Fee Waiver Application Will Open Soon

Students must be eligible to receive federal student aid and meet the following criteria:

Cumulative FAMU GPA of 3.3 or higher
Completed a minimum of one (1) academic year at FAMU (30 Credit hours or more; no transfer credit hours are considered)
Completed 2026/2027 FAFSA^®
Pell Eligible
All relevant documents submitted to financial aid by April 1, 2026

→ The combination of this award and other tuition specific awards cannot exceed your tuition costs. If you are the recipient of an award that covers your tuition costs, you cannot receive the OSW.

→ Previous Out of State Waiver recipients MUST reapply.

The application will remain open for thirty (30) days: March 1^st – March 31^st. The final determination of eligible students will be made by June 1^st, 2026.
