Government Relations

The Office of Government Relations at Florida A&M University is responsible for advancing the strategic interests of FAMU at the local, state and federal levels. The FAMU Office of Government Relations develops and maintains relationships across the State of Florida, in our nation’s capital, as well as with associations and organizations of strategic importance to the students, faculty, and staff of Florida A&M University. The Office is committed to informing the University of legislation that is of interest and impacts our community and serves as the University’s interface with local, state and federal elected and appointed leaders and public policy makers.  As the liaison between the university and public officials, we monitor legislation on a wide variety of issues including student aid, government-funded research, academic medicine, agriculture, and technology and innovation.
