Getting Started

The FAMU username provides students, faculty, and staff access to commonly viewed campus and restricted web pages. Your role at the university will determine the information that you will be able to view.

Students will need a FAMU username to manage financial aid, register for classes, make payments, update their personal portfolios, and use the many online student services available through iRattler, as well as access the FAMMail and FAMUSecure Wireless Network.

To get your FAMU username, please visit the User Authentication Center at www.famu.edu/uac

Students will automatically be granted a FAMU email when they have been accepted to the university.

The student can access the email at https://www.famu.edu/eSplash.cfm and select the green button for Newly Admitted student.

Please make sure that your student always checks their email.  Should your student decide to enroll in classes at FAMU, it is the university's policy to have FAMU employees communicate through the student's FAMU email only for university matters.

Once the student has successfully enrolled in classes, their email will move to our student email boxes that offer Microsoft Office 365.  Microsoft Office 365 will allow students to have access to the Microsoft Office suite and One Drive (storage).
