Get started by creating your personal FAMU email account
Get FAMU username from User Authentication Center (UAC)
The FAMU username provides students, faculty, and staff access to commonly viewed
campus and restricted web pages. Your role at the university will determine the information
that you will be able to view.
Students will need a FAMU username to manage financial aid, register for classes,
make payments, update their personal portfolios, and use the many online student services
available through iRattler, as well as access the FAMMail and FAMUSecure Wireless
Network.

Students will automatically be granted a FAMU email when they have been accepted to the university.
The student can access the email at https://www.famu.edu/eSplash.cfm and select the green button for Newly Admitted student.
Please make sure that your student always checks their email. Should your student decide to enroll in classes at FAMU, it is the university's policy to have FAMU employees communicate through the student's FAMU email only for university matters.
Once the student has successfully enrolled in classes, their email will move to our student email boxes that offer Microsoft Office 365. Microsoft Office 365 will allow students to have access to the Microsoft Office suite and One Drive (storage).

Faculty and staff are given their FAMU username and email during the onboarding process. After you have your FAMU username, you will be given access to all of the services including the appropriate iRattler modules.
Contact ITS
Upon graduation, contact the ITS Service Desk to transfer your account to an alumni account. Your FAMnet ID will change. This will avoid the chance of your account from being disabled. When contacting the IT Service Desk, please be sure to provide your student ID number and your FAMU Username.
Once your account has been changed, you will have access to iRattler and email. Please keep in mind that if the e-mail account has not been accessed in the last two years, it will be deactivated.

iRattler accounts are deactivated 60 days after retirement. Email accounts will remain enabled if approved by their supervisor.
