Uniform Patrol Operations Division

The Uniform Patrol Division is the largest division of the Florida A&M University Department of Campus Safety & Security. It is comprised of the Patrol Officers, Traffic Enforcement, Special Events and all other Policing Functions.

Police Officers assigned to the Uniform Patrol Section are the backbone of the department.  They are the first responders to a call for police service.  Our officers currently serve on a daily bases a population of over 15,000, consisting of students, faculty, staff and visitors to the Florida A&M University Campus. That population can easily triple on any given home football game weekend or special event. These officers are committed to preventing and reducing crime, protecting and educating our community and aiding those in need.

Each officer working in the Uniform Patrol Division has been assigned to one of the four shifts. Each shift is led by a designated Corporal or Officer in Charge. The Corporals and Officers in Charge report to the Uniform Patrol Division Sergeant and ultimately to the Administrative Lieutenant in charge of the Operations Division.

Shift hours are as follows

Day Shift: 6:00am-6:00pm, Night Shift: 6:00pm-6:00pm.
