Student organization, departmental, student entrepreneur and non-university vendors are permitted to set up vending tables in the Market SET Vending Area located directly in front of the Efferson Student Union.

 

 

Market SET Fridays: When and Where

    The Market SET is open Friday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm on days when the university is officially open during the Fall and Spring semesters. 

Market SET Important Information & Guidelines 

Thank you for your interest in vending at ESUA’s Market SET Friday. Registration is not yet open. In the meantime, please review the information below to familiarize yourself with the vendor requirements, fees, policies, and registration process before the portal opens. Monitor ESUA social media channels for SET Friday Dates.

Non-University: Any INC or LLC that does not have an existing agreement with Florida A&M University. 

In the event of inclement weather or an unscheduled university closure, vendors will have the opportunity to cancel and receive a refund. 

We are piloting Humanitix for Market SET Friday vendor registration. A new registration link will be released on Thursday or Friday, prior to the next scheduled Market SET Friday. Payment is due at the time of registration.

Before registering, vendors are responsible for reviewing and understanding all Market SET Friday rules, expectations, policies, prohibited items, load-in/load-out procedures, and any additional requirements that may apply to their business.

Current Tabling and Vendor Fees (Additional processing fees/taxes may apply at checkout)

  • Plot Vendor: $50+
  • Vehicle/Mobile Vendor: $125+
  • Food Truck/Food Vendor(Special events Only ): $125+

All fees are non-negotiable, and vendor spaces are non-transferable. Please review the posted refund policy before completing registration.

Once registered, vendors must present their confirmation number/form at check-in and should have all applicable licenses, permits, certifications, insurance documents, and approvals available in case of an on-site review.

Please ensure you have the correct tent size for your purchased plot:
  • Yellow Plots (Seats #3, 4, 5, 6, 12, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20): 8x6 plots
  • Orange Plots (Seats #1, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 21): 8x10 plots

Unloading - Market SET vendors can unload from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Vehicles are prohibited from driving on or parking on any walkway areas.  After 10:00 a.m. all vehicles used for unloading must be removed from the Set and parked on public streets or in an authorized university parking lot.  Any vehicles parked on The Set after 10:00 am will be ticketed and towed at vendor's expense. 

Loading & Clean Up - Market SET Vendors will be allowed on the Set for loading from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Vehicles are prohibited from driving on or parking on any walkway areas. Vendors must completely vacate the Set by 5:00 p.m.  All vendors are responsible for space clean-up and proper discarding of trash. No tables or other items belonging to vendor should be left in the vending area. 

Parking - To park on campus, Market SET Vendors can obtain a parking permit at the FAMU Police Department located at 2400 Wahnish Way. For more information contact 850-561-2657. Vendors are welcome to park in all parking lots designated as “General Parking” and in any metered spot available (meters must be paid, with ticket clearly displayed on dash).

Relocating: Efferson Student Union & Activities reserves the right to relocate a vendor at any time. No vendor may switch, trade or move to a different vendor space without the approval of an ESUA staff member.

Denials and Cancellations: Efferson Student Union & Activities reserves the right to deny or cancel the reservation of any vendor that sells merchandise or services that conflicts with the university’s mission, regulations, Efferson Student Union & Activities regulations, or university contractual obligations. Furthermore all vendors must comply with state, county and city laws and regulations.

  1. Vendors interested in distributing or selling food/beverages must be approved by the university food service provider.  Vendors must present written approval from the university food service provider to the Efferson Student Union & Activities Office prior to requesting a vendor plot.  Vendors can contact the university food service provider for more information at 850-412-7146.  
  2. Vendors interested in providing health or medical information/services must be approved by the Student Health Center Director.  Vendors must present written approval from the Student Health Center Director to the Efferson Student Union & Activities Office prior to requesting a vendor plot.  Vendors can contact the Student Health Center for more information at 850-599-3777. 
  3. Vendors are limited to the confines of the approved vendor space as indicated by Efferson Student Union & Activities.  Vendors are not permitted to occupy any space on the Set without authorization from Efferson Student Union & Activities. Vendors must provide their own equipment and supplies. Efferson Student Union & Activities does not provide table, chairs or any other equipment.  
  4. The registered vendor must always be present during the reserved time.  
  5. Students, individuals, and vendors cannot reserve a Market SET Vendor Plot on behalf of another.  
  6. Amplified sound/music is permitted only on Fridays. 
  7. Florida A&M University (FAMU) is not responsible for any items lost, stolen or damaged. Vendors are responsible for securing all sensitive items and merchandise
  8. Loitering, alcoholic beverages, or profane language is absolutely PROHIBITED 
  9. Items which require a special state license and items that are classified as illegal may not be sold.  Items bearing Florida A&M University (FAMU) symbols or logo may not be sold. 
  10. It is the vendors’ responsibility to submit sales tax information to the Department of Revenue. 
  11. Efferson Student Union & Activities reserves the right to deny or cancel the reservation of any vendor that sells merchandise or services that conflicts with the university’s mission, regulations, Efferson Student Union & Activities regulations, or university contractual obligations. Furthermore, all vendors must comply with state, county and city laws and regulations. 
  12. Efferson Student Union & Activities reserves the right to relocate a vendor at any time.   
  13. Efferson Student Union & Activities will only issue a refund in the event of inclement weather and/or university closing. In the event a vendor moves forward in spite of anticipated inclement weather, no refund will be issued.  
  14. All products must be approved by the University's Trademark Licensing office and the IMG College Licensing Company. Failure to obtain a license or approval from the University's Trademark Licensing Office and the IMG College Licensing Company would be grounds for the seizure of all non-approved merchandise bearing the University's marks. It also could result in jail time and numerous fines if convicted. Note to Vendors:

  • Vendors must be fully set up by 10:00 AM
  • Only one vendor per table is permitted
  • Vendors must use the tent size assigned to their purchased plot
  • Non-University vendors (INC/LLC) must comply with all University vendor policies
  • Vendors must remain within their assigned space
  • Vendors are responsible for bringing their own tables, chairs, and equipment
  • Once set up, vendors should not leave their space unattended
  • Food and beverage sales are NOT permitted
  • Health service vendors require prior approval from the Student Health Center Director at 850-599-3777

What is Licensing?
Licensing is a written agreement between Florida A&M University (FAMU), the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), and the licensee that grants permission to produce products bearing FAMU’s trademarks and logos.
Who Needs a License?
Anyone wishing to produce or sell products displaying FAMU’s marks must obtain a license prior to production or sales.
