Professor Diane Kimmel brings a rich and diverse background to nursing education, with experience in the military, K–12 education, and higher education. A former U.S. Army Military Intelligence Officer, she transitioned into nursing in 2013, gaining clinical experience in medical-surgical, women’s health, and surgical services at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare.
She has taught in both clinical and classroom settings at several institutions, including Florida State University and Tallahassee State College. At FAMU, she now serves as a full-time nursing instructor and member of the curriculum committee, where she is committed to preparing future nurses through compassionate, evidence-based instruction.
