The School of Business and Industry offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. The business administration curriculum provides the student with a comprehensive knowledge of business administration and is designed to prepare students for careers in general business management, marketing, finance, and sales. The curriculum includes courses in accounting, finance, marketing, management, operations management, and organizational behavior. In order to gain an understanding of the broader business environment, students are also required to successfully complete courses in economics, statistics, global business, business ethics, and business law.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration graduates have historically been employed or engaged in a variety of career fields that include but are not limited to general management, finance, marketing, human resource management, professional selling, business development, operational management, project management, administrative management, and entrepreneurship.  The entry level salary range for SBI graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Business administration ranges from $45,000 to over $75,000 a year.

In 2022, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics stated the average Financial and Investment Analysts made:
• An average of $52 and hour
• A median salary of $109,000
• The top percentile made an average of $170,000

Business Administration, BS Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Qs)

Q: Are there any special requirement for students planning to pursue an undergraduate degree program in business administration?
A: All students aspiring to major in business administration in SBI are admitted as pre-business students. In order to be fully admitted in the business program, students are required to complete the following courses of which a minimum "C" grade is required (Financial Accounting Principles, Managerial Accounting Principles, Principles of Macroeconomics, Principles of Microeconomics, Business statistics, business calculus, and Introduction to Business Systems). Additional a minimum a "B" or higher is required in three of the seven courses.

Q: What types of organizations recruit undergraduate business administration graduates?
A: SBI undergraduate business graduates are employed in a variety of organizations including fortune 100, medium sized,public, and non-profit organizations

Q: How long does it take to complete the undergraduate business administration degree program?
A: SBI undergraduate business degree program is designed to be completed in four years.
