Greetings! It is that time of year once again when the Florida A&M University (FAMU) Homecoming Parade Committee celebrates another year of fellowship and unity at FAMU. This year, we will celebrate Homecoming Week October 22-29, 2022. The annual Homecoming Parade will be held on October 29 beginning at the intersection of Wahnish Way and Orange Avenue and will kick-off at 8:00 am. Staging of all entries will begin at 6:30 am.
This year's parade will give three awards for overall conformity to the theme. Participants will be judged on originality, creativity, color, general eye appeal and craftsmanship based on the Homecoming theme
-"The Experience: Homecoming 2022". Only those participants that pay the required entry fee are eligible to compete for the monetary awards. The Judging Committee will determine the final placement of entries, and their decision is final.

(FAMU student clubs/organizations are not required to pay a registration fee. However, if the club/organization wishes to compete for the monetary awards, they are required to pay the appropriate fee listed).

Location/Direction of Parade: (Subject to Change)
Starting at Orange Avenue and Wahnish Way, Head North on Wahnish Way to Gamble Street. Make a right onto Gamble Street, continue east and make a right on MLK Jr. Blvd. Continue South on MLK Jr. Blvd until you reach the Efferson Student Union. Viewing stage located at Lee Hall Auditorium. Parade will end at at the Gavel Lot on MLK Bvd and Oseola St.
Registration fee payment
Please pay applicable fees to the Florida A&M University Foundation Office, located at 625 E. Tennessee Street. We accept cash, money orders and debit/credit cards with a Master Card or Visa logo. You will be given a receipt that should be attached to your completed application when submitted to the Office of Student Government. Do not submit your application without a proper copy of your receipt from the FAMU Foundation Office.
Application Submission
The attached application must be completed and returned to the Student Government Association office along with a copy of the required FAMU Foundation’s receipt for fee payment and proof of liability insurance and a copy of the driver's license for vehicle or float entries for motorized entries. Floats, cars and trucks must be appropriately decorated. At a minimum, entries will have a sign located on the front and sides of the vehicle identifying its activity. Vehicles that are not appropriately decorated are NOT allowed to participate in the parade.
