About Me


Mr. Craig Huffman is a Tenured Professor in the Florida A&M School of Architecture & Engineering Technology. He is a graduate level faculty with expertise in Advanced Design, Building Enclosure Systems, Urban Design and Theory. Professor Huffman has been the Chair / Lead Faculty and Advisor for 48 Thesis Projects in the Masters of Architecture program over the past 20 years.

Professor Huffman is also an award-winning Architect with over 35 years of experience in designing and managing Architectural, Urban Design and Planning projects. He is a Founding Principal in Huffman Associates Studio for Architecture in Tallahassee and Baque + Huffman Studio in New Orleans. Huffman Associates has been recognized with ten state and local design awards and received an honorable mention for an international urban design competition in 2010. Mr. Huffman’s work seeks a regional response to climate, sustainability, context, urbanism and history balanced with a modernist sensibility to detailing and assembly. He has lectured and exhibited his work throughout the United States, and published essays on design synthesis in two books.

Craig is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture.
