About Me


Dr. Mahdavian is a Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist who received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from FAMU-CoPPS, IPH and completed a Post-Graduate Year 1 (PGY-1) Pharmacy Practice Residency through a partnership between FAMU-CoPPS, IPH and the Apalachee Center, Inc, where she gained extensive training in the management of neuropsychiatric disorders in adults and the elderly.

Upon completion of her PGY-1, Dr. Mahdavian went on to pursue a career in Academia at her Alma Mater where she provides didactic instruction in the areas of patient education, management of depression and anxiety, and therapeutics of geriatric disorders. In addition to in class teaching, Dr. Mahdavian maintains a clinical site and precepts an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience Elective in geriatric medicine at FSU PrimaryHealth, a clinic affiliated with the Florida State College of Medicine that centers on providing services to the older, rural, minority, and underserved populations. In this role, she works as part of an interprofessional team and continuously promotes collaboration between pharmacists and providers for managing patients.

She has authored several peer-reviewed publications and poster presentations and has been invited to deliver numerous professional presentations at the local, state, and national level to pharmacists, physicians and other healthcare providers.
