About Me


Daryl A. Norwood, PharmD, BCACP, a Professor at Florida A&M University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (FAMU COPPs) - Davie Institutional Site, teaches Ambulatory Care Medicine.
Before assuming his current duties, Dr. Norwood graduated from FAMU COPPS in 1998 and then completed a one-year residency at the Miami Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) from June, 1998 – June, 1999. During the residency, he received training in the areas of Adult Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Drug Information, Nutritional Support, Surgery/Infectious diseases, Ambulatory Care, Geriatric Care, and Research. Following the residency in October 1999, Dr. Norwood was hired by FAMU and developed an Ambulatory Care rotation site at the Miami VAMC. Two years later, the Ambulatory Care Clinical Practice Site was moved to the Seventh Avenue Family Health Center in Ft. Lauderdale, where it is today. Dr. Norwood is also a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist.
