About Me


Professor Wilson specializes in Legal Research and Writing, including Advanced Legal Research and Writing. She brings to the classroom extensive experience in both criminal and civil litigation, enriching her teaching with practical insight and advocacy skills.

Before joining Florida A&M University College of Law, Professor Wilson served as an Assistant Professor of Legal Writing at St. Thomas University Benjamin L. Crump College of Law. She previously worked as an Assistant State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, where she developed expertise in motion practice and trial advocacy, successfully trying numerous criminal cases to verdict. Her civil litigation practice included handling complex matters in insurance defense, premises liability, labor and employment, and civil rights.

Professor Wilson earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Florida A&M University College of Law and her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Central Florida. She is a former member of the Florida Bar’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee and has published scholarship on wage discrimination. Licensed to practice in Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Professor Wilson is dedicated to advancing legal education.
