About Me

Dr. Stampe conducts research in experimental materials physics, focused on magnetic materials for spintronic applications. Recently her research has been investigating the creation of magnetic semiconductors by doping semiconducting oxide thin films with small concentrations of magnetic transition metal elements. These materials are then investigated for their structural, magnetic and electrical properties. Funding for her research has been obtained from the National Science Foundation, DARPA, and the FAA. Dr. Stampe has mentored multiple Ph.D. students and currently serves as the Graduate Coordinator for the Department of Physics.
