About Me


Jinwei Liu (Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in computer engineering from Clemson University, USA, and the M.S. degree in computer science from Clemson University and the University of Science and Technology of China, China. He has worked with the University of Virginia and University of Central Florida. He is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, Florida A&M University (FAMU), USA. He was recognized for outstanding achievement in academic publications. He was awarded a 2021-2022 FRAP (Faculty Research Awards Program) grant at FAMU. He was the recipient of the 2022-2023 Emerging Research in STEM Award at FAMU. He has received awards from U.S. NSF, Cyber Florida, etc. His research interests include cloud computing and storage, AI/ML, cybersecurity, healthcare, network science, big data, etc. He has published numerous conference papers and journal articles, and his work appears in top-tier journals/conferences, including IEEE/ACM TON, IEEE TMC, IEEE TPDS, NPJ Digital Medicine, IEEE TC, IEEE TSC, IEEE INFOCOM, etc. He was the Program (Co-)Chair of a number of international conferences and a member of the Program Committees of many international conferences (e.g., IEEE/ACM CCGRID, IEEE ICC, IEEE ICCCN, etc.). He served as Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editor for several journals. He has served as a reviewer for many journals and conferences (e.g., IEEE TMC, IEEE TPDS, IEEE TKDE, IEEE TSC, IEEE TVT, ACM CSUR, etc.). He has received a Best Paper Award, NSF student travel awards, and Outstanding Conference Service Award, etc. He is a member of the ACM.
