Edwina Jacobs is a dedicated educator in the fields of Computer Information Systems and Cybersecurity. She currently serves as the Faculty Advisor for the (CISMO) Computer and Information Sciences Mentoring Organization, a role she has held since 2019, following her tenure as Faculty Advisor for the Secured Rattlers Club.
Her commitment extends beyond the classroom into extensive technical outreach and community engagement. She has been instrumental in developing and leading STEM initiatives for a diverse audience, from high school students to incoming university freshmen. Her workshops and sessions have covered a wide array of cutting-edge topics, including Python application development, 3D printing, robotics, and gaming technology. She has facilitated sessions for events such as FAMU's STEM Day and contributed to the university's Title I Initiative Virtual STEM Literacy Night.
Through her roles as a Summer STEM Instructor for the FAMU Trio program and a Summer Content Developer for the Living Learning Community (LLC), she has demonstrated a profound dedication to inspiring the next generation of innovators and preparing students for successful careers in STEM.
