About Me

The current chairperson of the Physics Department. A Fellow of the American Physical Society (APS) and Bangladesh Academy of Sciences (BAS).

Over the last 3 decades I have been teaching and doing my research on Collision processes involving various projectiles (i.e. electron, positron, proton, alpha-particle etc.) and the atomic - neutral and ionic - and molecular targets at wide energy domain (1 eV < E < 1 GeV). Have published 125 peer reviewed publications, 7 boos chapters and more than150 presentations in National and International Conferences and Symposium. In 2012 I was bestowed the FAMU's Distinguished Researcher Award and obtained the First Faculty Excellence Award in Graduate Mentoring in 2015.
