Board of Trustees

As the governing body of the University, the Board of Trustees is charged with policymaking for the University. Trustees serve without compensation and meet at least quarterly. The officers of the Board of Trustees are chair and vice chair. Each is elected for a term of two years and may be re-elected for one additional consecutive term. The president serves as the corporate secretary to the Board of Trustees. The president has the responsibility for the day-to-day management of the University. For this reason, one of the most important responsibilities of the Board of Trustees is the selection, retention and replacement of the president.
