WHO IS ELIGIBLE ? 

 

The EOC can help you if you meet at least one of the following criteria: 

  1. At least 19 years old (can be younger if there is no Educational Talent Search program in the area) 
  2. Adult learner looking to enter college for the first time 
  3. Adult learner looking to re-enroll at a post secondary institution 
  4. A Veteran (spouses and dependents included) 

WHAT WE DO 

 

EOC helps qualified adults: 

  1. Earn a High School Diploma or GED 
  2. Enroll or return to college or technical school 

 

The TRIO Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) offers FREE services to help you get started. 

The Educational Opportunity Center is a federally-funded TRIO program that provides support for adult learners that would like to attend or return to college. We also provide assistance to veterans and/or their spouses and dependents. There is no charge for the programs services. This is not a recruitment program for Florida A&M University. 

EOC COMMUNITY PARTNERS

    3. Local Faith-based organizations 
    4. Local High Schools without TRIO Programs 

PROGRAM SERVICES

EOC offers the following FREE one-on-one or group services: 

    1. Academic Planning - Our counselors will work with you to develop an individual action plan that outlines your personal, academic, and career goals for success. 
    2. College Enrollment - Assistance with college selection, admissions, and financial aid applications (FAFSA). 
    3. Academic Preparation - Learn effective student habits, time management, and other college survival skills. 
    4. Career Exploration - Explore your career options, meet career mentors, plan and prepare to succeed in your career and workplace.
