ETS Proficiency Profile

The ETS Proficiency Profile is a general education knowledge and skills test designed to measure critical thinking and college-level reading, writing and mathematical skills in the contexts of the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences. In an effort to evaluate general education learning outcomes, Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University requires students to take the EPP at entry (freshman) and exit (senior) levels. The EPP is administered twice a year, to incoming freshmen in the fall semester and to graduating seniors in the spring semester.

The ETS Proficiency Profile Summary Report includes a comparative analysis of FAMU scores to those of the ETS-provided national averages, Carnegie classification of doctoral institutions, Historically Black Colleges and Universities taken as group and institutions in the State University System of Florida, including institutional peers.
