Through our FAMU Ignite Program, students who attend a Florida College System (FCS) institution are guaranteed general admission into FAMU after completion of an Associate of Arts

Transferring to FAMU has never been easier. Review transfer requirements and deadlines, as well all documents you will need to submit to campus departments.
Transfer Student Orientation is a one-day information based program designed to ensure you have completed all the onboarding steps before you get advised.
Our office supports all transfer students through peer mentoring, academic support initiatives and programming, and our Transfer Living Learning Community (LLC). Our goal is to ensure transfer students have a smooth transition to the FAMUly and make the most of their time on the hill.
Students who transfer to FAMU prior to earning their Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree may request to have their A.A. degree awarded to them from their previous Florida College System institution. Students must meet all lower level/general education requirements, have completed at least 30 credits at FAMU and have a 2.0 gpa or higher. To request to have the A.A. degree awarded, students may contact transfer@famu.edu with their name, student id number, and the Florida College System institution they previously attended.

She now applies her skills as a news videographer at WPTV-TV in West Palm Beach, Fla.
