Civil Discourse and Communication Leadership at the FAMU Cyber Policy Institute
The FAMU Cyber Policy Institute (CyPI) advances a comprehensive Civil Discourse Initiative that strengthens communication,
collaboration, and conflict resolution across the university community. Recognizing
that cyber policy, AI governance, and digital citizenship require not only technical
skills but also strong interpersonal, ethical, and communicative capacities, CYPI
serves as the hub for fostering a culture of respectful dialogue, critical thinking, and responsible communication.
Through training, curriculum development, and campus-wide engagement, CYPI promotes
civil discourse that enhances safety, strengthens academic and professional relationships,
and equips students, faculty, and staff with skills needed for a modern, interconnected,
and digital workforce.
