Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity (CyS)
The Computer Information Systems degree program is designed for students who plan to apply their computing knowledge in business environments as applications programmers and system analysts. This major is also designed for students who plan to seek advanced degrees in business administration, management, or management information systems.
  • The goal of the B.S. in Cybersecurity is to prepare students to meet the cybersecurity needs of business, government, healthcare, education, and society. Program graduates will possess the skills and knowledge to assume appropriate entry-level professional positions, and to grow into leadership positions or pursue research or graduate studies in the field.
  • Graduates of this program will be equipped to enter career paths such as: Security Analyst, Security Engineer, Security Architect; Security Administrator, etc. Specific SOC 2010 disciplines for CIP 11.1003 include: Computer and Information Systems Managers, Information Security Analysts, Database Administrators, Network and Computer System Administrators, Computer Network Architects, and Computer Network Specialists.
