About Me

Sarah Buck is an instructor of architectural history at the Florida A&M University (FAMU) School of Architecture + Engineering Technology (SAET). Dr. Buck’s architectural history courses promote active learning by combining traditional slide lectures and discussions with interactive drawing, writing, and research exercises. By engaging with architectural history through these in-class activities, students develop the ability to define essential key concepts and terminology related to historic monuments; identify patterns in architectural design and patronage; evaluate architecture’s responses to political, cultural, and societal changes; and recognize connections between the structures of the past and present.
