Current University Status
Florida A&M University is open and operating as normal.
Please note: Some mobile devices and wireless carriers may utilize AI-assisted voicemail transcription or message interpretation services that can inaccurately transcribe emergency notifications or automated voice messages. Users are encouraged to review the original emergency alert message directly on official Florida A&M University communication platforms, including FAMU ALERT text messages, emails, the FAMU mobile app, and the university website, to ensure they receive accurate information.
FAMU Emergency Alerts
FAMU ALERT is a communications system/application (Everbridge) that provides timely
and accurate information about emergency situations that can impact the university.
It's free for students, faculty, and staff.
Steps to set-up your account:
- Download the Everbridge app.
- Search for FAMUALERT.
- Complete the FAMU Campus Alerts registration form and verify that your contact information, including phone numbers and email addresses, is accurate.
- Under "Manage My Profile" allow push notifications and customize your notification preferences, choosing how you'd like to receive alerts (e.g., text, phone call, email, app, weather alerts opt-in).
