Government Relations Internship

 

Welcome to the FAMU Office of Government Relations, and thank you for your interest in the inaugural 2023 FAMU Legislative Internship Program.


 

The FAMU Legislative Internship Program will provide FAMU students with hands-on opportunities to experience democracy-in-action with the Florida Legislature during the 2023 Legislative Session. Responsibilities may include public engagement, stakeholder relations, legislative research, constituent management, community outreach, attending legislative meetings, scripting talking points, writing bill summaries, scheduling meetings, culminating press releases, or administrative tasks as required.

 


 

Please note that this internship is for students enrolled in PUP 4947 for the Spring 2023 semester, with the internship expected to begin on March 7, 2023, and end on May 5, 2023. Students must possess a 3.0 GPA, have exceptional oral and written skills, be punctual, proactive, organized, and handle fast-paced work environments to be considered. Selected interns will receive a $2,000 scholarship and must complete an orientation before the internship begins.

Applications for this period is closed. Participants will be selected based on their complete application and interview, with final selections anticipated by December 2, 2022.
