Dr. John Luque is Professor in the Institute of Public Health. He received his postdoctoral
                           training in Behavioral Oncology in the Department of Health Outcomes & Behavior at
                           Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Luque received graduate-level training
                           in cultural anthropology from Arizona State University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison,
                           and in medical anthropology, epidemiology, and social marketing from the University
                           of South Florida.
His primary research area is to develop and test community-based interventions to
                           increase preventive cancer screenings. His research has been funded by the National
                           Institutes of Health and the National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health.
                           He has held leadership positions with the American Association for Cancer Education
                           and the Society for Medical Anthropology. Overall, he has authored or co-authored
                           over 80 scientific papers and book chapters.
