2014-2015 EFFICIENCY & EFFECTIVENESS PROGRAM OFFICE
In June 2014, President Elmira Mangum created an initiative to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the University’s processes and procedures, while positively impacting customer service, reducing cost and processing time. The initiative will also monitor implemented changes to ensure continuous quality improvement.
This initiative is being driven by results from surveys of faculty, staff, and students. The staff survey focused on job satisfaction, respect and fairness, work climate and career development. The faculty survey looked at responsibilities, workload and academic life, work climate and job satisfaction. Each group was also given the opportunity to explain changes they would like to see at FAMU. The exit survey for graduating seniors was used to gain insight from the student’s perspective. That survey provided information regarding how students felt about university processes and services, the students’ collegiate experience, and future plans.
