. – Florida A&M University’s (FAMU) Class of 1962 has scheduled a reunion celebration for its Golden Anniversary as a way to renew friendships, reminisce, reconnect and recommit to FAMU.
Organizers are trying to locate all members of the Class of 1962.
The reunion events are scheduled during FAMU’s Weekend of Rededication (WORD) April 26 through April 28. Several special activities have been planned to commemorate their time at FAMU and the Rattler experience.
The activities are as follows: a memory lane luncheon, a Distinguished Alumni Awards Banquet and recognition of the Golden Anniversary Class at FAMU’s spring commencement scheduled for April 28.
“FAMU has continued to enjoy many successes over the years, but the work continues and challenges abound,” said Wilbert Bryant, president for the Class of 1962. “We want to help.”
The host hotel is the Fairfield Inn and Suites located at 2997 Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee. The deadline to reserve a room is April 6. Transportation will be provided from the hotel to the main events on FAMU’s campus.
