ATTENTION STUDENTS
Florida A&M University recently implemented enhancements to the grading process, beginning this 2012 spring semester. Now, when Instructors assign “I" (incomplete), "F", "U" and "WF" or “WU” (failing grade) grades, they will be prompted to enter the student’s last date of attendance.
- “WF” or “WU” is a new failing grade that is assigned to students, who stop attending class before the published last day to withdraw, (For example, March 23, 2012 for spring 2012) without officially withdrawing from the class. When computing a student’s grade point average, the “WF” or “WU” grade will have the same value (zero quality points) as the “F” or “U” grade.
- A “WF” or “WU” Grade may affect your Financial Aid Awards.
- When an “I” grade is assigned, the Instructor will be required to indicate the work that a student must complete in order to complete the course, for example, an additional project or an examination.
