TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — With more than 25 years of experience in organizational leadership, Janet E. Johnson is the new university registrar at Florida A&M University (FAMU).
“We are delighted to have Ms. Johnson return to FAMU as our university registrar,” said Danielle Kennedy-Lamar, associate vice president for Student Affairs - Enrollment Management. “She brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise and experience to the position. We are certain that Ms. Johnson's focus on organization and processes will help advance the department and University.”
A graduate of FAMU, Johnson comes from an extensive background in enrollment and records management. She previously once served as the coordinator of academic records at FAMU. She also served as the assistant director of enrollment services and registrar and coordinator of enrollment systems integration at Seminole Community College in Sanford, Fla.
“It is a pleasure to be back and such a humbling honor to be at Florida A&M University,” said Johnson. “I am returning home.”
Prior to returning to FAMU, Johnson served as the assistant university registrar at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
Johnson received both her bachelor’s of science in office administration and master’s in education at FAMU.
