Tallahassee, FL. – Florida A&M University’s (FAMU) Police Department offers e2Campus, a web-based mass notification system that can send an alert to students, parents, faculty and staff’s cell phones, emails and pagers concerning FAMU security matters.
“We can send out alerts within five minutes of the incident,” said Cpl. Sherri Luke of FAMU’s Police Department. “Depending on the situation, it may take a little longer to send out an alert. We gather as much information possible before sending out an alert in order to avoid a panic among students.”
E2Campus allows FAMU Police Department to send messages at any time, and can be initiated through web or a web-connected phone.
