Pharmacy Faculty Appointed as Adviser
to the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) Foundation
TALLAHASSEE – Angela Massey Hill, PharmD, BCPP, associate professor, Pharmacy Practice, Florida A&M University, College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (COPPS) was appointed by the American Pharmacists Association Foundation to participate in the development of a Dementia Polite Project for Pharmacists. This project will establish an Alzheimer’s therapy practice model in ambulatory care practice setting with Kerr Drug in North Carolina. The project will be designed to establish a scalable process to improve patient care and treatment to national goals. It will include both wellness and disease management services in an effort to address the spectrum of patient/caregiver and provider needs.
“I am excited about this appointment because serving as an advisor of APhA will allow an opportunity to broaden my involvement with the research efforts and service needs for individuals with or those caring for individuals with the Alzheimer’s disease,” Hill said.
Robert L. Thomas, interim dean and associate professor, COPPS stated that, “The College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences family is elated and congratulates Dr. Hill on her prestigious foundation appointment. Dr. Hill typifies the caliber and level of commitment of our faculty at the College.”
The American Pharmacists Association, founded in 1852 as the American Pharmaceutical Association, represents more than 57,000 practicing pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists, student pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and others interested in advancing the profession.
