FAMU trustee resigns from the university’s Board
TALLAHASSEE – W. George Allen, a South Florida attorney and Florida A&M University alumnus, resigned this week from the FAMU Board of Trustees.
Allen has a general practice law firm in Fort Lauderdale, where he specializes in trial practice, probate, personal injury and wrongful death.
He had served on the FAMU board since January 2005 after being appointed by former Governor Jeb Bush.
“While Mr. Allen served on the board, he was extremely dedicated to ensuring the future of his alma mater through enhancements and improved efficiencies,” said Interim President Castell Vaughn Bryant. “We sincerely thank him for his service.”
