The Florida A&M University Web Team is putting the finishing touches on the new Content Management System (CMS) that will enable all Schools, Colleges, Offices and Departments, Deans, and Research Projects, to create, manage, and publish their own content to their own websites within the FAMU.EDU website.
The self-assisted tutorials and guidebooks will provide the understanding and explanation for content development, editing, management, and implementation within the FAMU.EDU framework infrastructure.
The templates and suggestions within the CMS will provide multiple web page designs, minimum informational requirements, and construction guidelines for ensuring website Brand Awareness and Information Consistency and Dependable User Navigation across the entire FAMU.EDU website.
This overall information system deployment is part-one of President Castell Bryant’s two-part Initiative for Technology supporting the campus. Part two further engages the campus with the delivery and installation of replacement computer equipment coordinated with the rollout of the FAMU Human Resources Management System.
The Web Team looks forward to assisting every website owner and constituent base with the delivery of intelligence and learning systems from the FAMU.EDU experience.
Our CMS plan includes face-to-face training and credentialing on the usage of the CMS through targeting classes and performance based tutorials for the newly appointed Content Managers that will be supporting each current or new websites.
We will announce the face-to-face schedule as soon as the infrastructure is available and ready for your requests and engagement efforts.
Thank you for your patience and enthusiasm. GO RATTLERS!!!
The Web Team
