STEM Dual Enrollment Themed Learning Community 

The STEM Dual Enrollment Themed Learning Community is a community for STEM first-year students who arrive at Florida A&M University with valuable college experiences.  In this program, first-year students build on the strength and resilience of their past academic experience and come together as a supportive community.  Participants will benefit from exposure to a wide range of campus resources, connections with faculty and staff, and a built-in peer network.  The program helps students translate their previous college experience college experiences into academic success at Florida A&M University. Faculty liaison: Mr. Derrick Farmer


Non-STEM Dual Enrollment Themed Learning Community

Male STEM Academic Excellence Learning Community

The community will provide co-curricular activities to support male students interested in Health Sciences, such as Health Care Management, Nursing, and Health Information Management. The community is designed to introduce male students to the University, help them build community as well as build a solid academic foundation. Faculty Liaison: Mr. John Harris

Male Academic Leadership and Excellence Learning Community

This learning community is comprised of male students who participate in structured learning experiences and expose the male learners to potential careers, prompting the academic and social integration of the young men into the University. Faculty Liaison: Dr. Gallop Franklin

Women in STEM Learning Community

This exploration learning community will connect female students who are interested in exploring themselves and an academic major in the Sciences, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. This learning community will support these young women in exploring options and developing plans to meet their educational, personal, and career aspirations. Faculty Liaison: Dr. Brianna Journee

Social Science Learning Community

This exploration learning community will connect students who are interested in exploring themselves and an academic major in areas such as Criminal Justice, Psychology, Political Science, Pre-Law, History, African American Studies, Social Work, and more.  This learning community will provide students with the necessary tools to engage and ignite their own passions and commitments as scholars.  Faculty Liaison: Dr. Tiffany Packer

Women's Leadership Learning Community

This community will provide support and resources to first-year female students that assist in their transition into University life. The community is designed to introduce women students to FAMU, allow them build community, and foster lasting friendships. Faculty Liaison: Dr. Mila Turner and Atty. Kenya Washington-Johnson
