|LAPTOP COMPUTER CIRCULATION POLICY|
|As a result of the laptop loan program users will have enhanced access to the library collections and other information resources, and academic achievement will be positively impacted.|
|Who Can Borrow?|
|Currently registered students and current employees of Florida A&M University who have registered for this service and have not returned a laptop late, may borrow a laptop.|
|What is my responsibility?|
|How long can I keep a laptop?|
|The loan period is up to four (4) hours daily. Loans are not renewable and laptops cannot be reserved. Laptops are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.|
|How much is the fine for returning a laptop late?|
|$5.00 per hour.|
|How can I access the Internet?|
|Each laptop is equipped with a wireless card, and a modem. The wireless card enables you to sit almost anywhere in the library and have full use of the computer and Internet.|
|Where must I return the laptop?|
|The borrower must return laptops to staff at the Library Systems Support Desk. Expect to spend 10 – 15 min. to give time for the Systems staff to inspect the laptop and clear your loan.|
| The library is not responsible for any computer viruses that may be
transferred to or from a users diskette.
The library is not responsible for any files left on any computer or for loss of or damage.

|LAPTOP LOAN AGREEMENT|
By completing and signing this Loan Agreement, I accept full responsibility for the laptop and accessories I am borrowing. I understand that FAMU will use every reasonable means of collecting monies to cover the cost of repairing or replacing the laptop and/or accessories if they are damaged, lost, or stolen while checked out in my name.
I understand that the replacement cost for this laptop computer will be no less than $2500.
I agree that I have received a laptop as described in the section above. All parts are present and functioning.
I agree to follow all guidelines set forth in the Laptop Loan Policies.
