The FAMU Writing Resource Center (WRC), which is funded by Title III and supported by the Office of University Retention and the College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, offers free, thirty-minute and one-hour writing and grammar tutorials for all students enrolled at FAMU.
The WRC also offers Focus Groups and Workshops that provide an overview of a particular language skill, writing strategy, or essay genre and give students an opportunity to interact with peers who are interested in improving in the same areas.
To participate in focus groups, students should sign up in the Writing Resource Center (124 Tucker Hall). Spaces will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis, with no more than 6 students allowed in each group. For more details, please click on our Focus Groups link.
To participate in workshops, students do not need to pre-register; however, each participant will be asked to sign in with his/her Rattler ID card. To view the workshop schedule, please click on our College Success Workshops link.
