BTE 3068 Principles of Business Education (3)
Overview of teaching business subjects at the secondary and postsecondary levels.

 

BTE 4220 Introduction to Information Systems(3)
Activities to help understand the applications of computers and information systems to business functions. 

 

BTE 4410 Methods of Teaching Business Subjects (3)
Prereq: All courses in the major sequence.  Special methods, techniques and devices used in teaching business subjects.

 

BTE 4906 Directed Individual Study (1-5) Independent study

 

BTE 4944 Supervised Work Experience (9-12)
Involves students in practical work experience (office) as part of their regular program. Employment may be in local areas, student’s home area, or out of state.

 

BTE 4945 Student Teaching in Business Education (6-12)
Prereq: All courses in major sequence. Student teach business subjects in middle or high schools under the supervision of a regular public school teacher.

 

BTE 4946 Directed Observation and Participation in Business Education (3)

Students observe and assist teachers of business subjects in local middle and secondary schools.
