Guidelines for ARRA Proposals

Stimulus-Recovery Proposals are proposals that seek funding from requests emanating from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Public Law 111-5). Any principal investigators (PIs) interested in responding to a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Stimulus-Recovery funds should immediately complete the Declaration of Interest Form located on the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act website (ARRA).  The FAMU Federal Stimulus-Recovery Committee will review the Declaration of Interest Form and provide feedback within five (5) business days.  Upon approval, submit the following documents to the Office of Sponsored Programs:
  • Proposal Review Transmittal Form (PRTF)
  • Agency Guidelines
  • Abstract (one page)
  • Budget
  • Budget Justification
The PIs should send this information to the Office of Sponsored Programs within thirty (30) days of the proposal due date.  Following submittal, OSP will provide the Federal Stimulus-Recovery Committee with abstract, agency guidelines, budget, and budget justification for their review.

To ensure the submittal of proposal within agency deadline, submit full proposals to the Office of Sponsored Programs at least six (6) business days prior to the agency’s deadline (receipt/postmark) date.  If the proposal consists of several budgets, a consortium, or multiple-year funding, please submit proposal to the Office of Sponsored Programs at least ten (10) business days prior to the agency’s deadline date.

All proposals for Stimulus-Recovery dollars are to be reviewed and approved by the FFSRC and OSP prior to submission to a funding agency.
