Mrs. Katisa Donaldson earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree in the fall of 1998 from Florida State University and later earned her Master of Social Work degree specializing in Social Policy and Administration in the spring of 2000. Mrs. Donaldson has over 16 years of experience as a professional social worker. Her passion is in Child Welfare, Community Development, Program Design and Evaluation, Problem Solving, Mentoring and Leadership. One of her major accomplishments was receiving the 2015 NASW Educator of the Year Award. In the past she has designed and directed the following programs: The Girls’ Choir of C.H.O.I.C.E., FAMU DRS FCAT Saturday Program, FAMU DRS School Social Work Internship, FAMU DRS Afterschool Mentoring Program and has helped to build a strong partnership with Walker Ford Community Center during the leadership of Mr. Joe Thomas. In addition, she has assisted in revamping the Smith–William Community Center summer program by designing a Social Skills Enrichment program. She is passionate about mentoring to students as a seasoned social worker and hopes to continue to support and educate students who desire to become professional social workers.
