Ms. Alisha M. Bradley is an Assistant Visiting Professor in the Department of Social Work. She received her B.S. in Macroeconomics and M.S.W. from the Southern University’s Baton Rouge and New Orleans, Louisiana campuses. She is the former Director of Senior Services for the City of New Orleans Mayor’s Office-Council on Aging. Her teaching experiences include Assistant Professorship at Southern University at New Orleans and Dillard University. As a result of Hurricane Katrina (2005), she relocated to Tallahassee, Florida and worked with the State of Florida, and taught as an adjunct instructor at Tallahassee Community College (TCC) and Florida State University (FSU). She is currently a doctoral candidate pursuing her Ed.D in Educational and Organizational Leadership. Her research includes religion, spirituality, peer mentoring and leadership of African Women. She is a trained facilitator and motivational speaker, and integrates these strategies into the classroom for student engagement. She welcomes the opportunity to teach others to “Be the Change you wish to see in this world” (Gandhi).
