Building Maintenance The Building Maintenance section of the Plant Operations and Maintenance Department is responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing the building structures electrical systems and drainage systems on campus. These services are performed to ensure that proper resources are allocated to accomplish all assigned tasks in a cost effective and productive manner to extend the life cycle of buildings and equipment. The eight (8) trade shops repair, replace, and maintain the buildings, facilities, and equipment of the University: Carpentry Shop Walls, Doors, Ceilings, and Floor Tiles
Electrical Shop Exterior and Interior Lights, Circuits and Wiring, and High Voltage Lines
Paint Shop Interior and Exterior Surfaces, Athletic Fields, Banners, and Signs
Life Safety Shop Fire Alarm and Extinguishers, and Public Address Systems
Plumbing Shop Building Plumbing, Sewage Lines, and Water Fountains
Key Bank Keys and Locks for offices, classrooms, and new buildings
Roving Maintenance Shop Maintenance Services for Dormitories
Fire Code Team Fire code inspections, repair and preventive maintenance
