Thank you for your interest in the Quench for Haiti Program at Florida A&M University. Twelve FAMU students will have the opportunity to “Quench” Haiti by implementing and construction a sustainable project based on the needs of a particular community. Please submit your application to FAMU Office of International Education & Development in person, by fax, or by mail. A complete application requires your signature on the application form and ALL forms attached must be completed (a parent’s/guardian’s signature is required if you are under age 18 at the time of application).
The deadline for the application is Friday, April 1, 2011. Interviews will be held after all applications are collected, you will be notified by email or phone with time choices. We suggest you apply well before the deadline.
You will be notified of your acceptance into the program after interviews are completed. Please keep in mind there may be multiple rounds of interviews. Acceptance is contingent on maintaining your status as admitted student for fall 2011. Your participation may be denied or your participation approval may be revoked if your conduct before departure raises doubts as to your suitability for participation.
If admitted into the program, you will receive your Welcome Packet via email that will include additional forms that will need to be submitted by deadline listed. To confirm your admission into the program, you must sign and return the forms included in this packet to FAMU Office of International Education and Development by the deadline or you may lose your space in the program. A $200 non-refundable non-transferable deposit will also be due by the deadline listed in the Welcome Packet (NOT WITH THE APPLICATION).
