Funded Research

During the past five (5) years, faculty members in the Department of Mathematics have published a total of fifteen (15) articles in refereed journals. Faculty members in the Department of Mathematics are also PIs or co-PIs on sponsored research projects supported by the 

                                        National Science Foundation (NSF), 
                                        Department of Education (DOE), 
                                       Army Research Laboratory (ARL) and 
                                       DARPA 

garnering funds in excess of $4.7 million. This includes a $2.5 million collaborative grant with the Iowa Regency schools for the Alliance for the Production of African American Ph.D.’s in the Mathematical Sciences and an $870,000 interdisciplinary award with BASE, Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics through ARL.
