Blackboard 9.1

Blackboard is a tool that facilitates the creation of web-based educational environments by non-technical users. It can be used to create entire online courses or to publish materials that supplements existing courses. Blackboard allows the instructor to deliver course materials using text, graphics and sound, as well as administer tests.

Blackboard I: Building Content
This couse will give an in-depth look a the NEW Blackboard 9 interface and the essential tools nedded to build content.

Blackboard II: Creating Assessments
This course will indroduce you to the assessment features of blackboard, including creating an assignment, test, and or survey.

Blackboard III: Advanced Tools
This course will show you how to integrate advanced tools and  interactive multimedia into your course. 

 


 

Blackboard Mini Sessions

Bb Mini I: Assignments & SafeAssign
The assignment tool provides a centralized place that allows course instructors to post, collect and download assignments

SafeAssign is a tool used to encourage original writing and proper citation practices within the course.

Bb Mini II: Blackboard Refresher
In this hands-on workshop the participants will learn the basic features of blackboard including how to attach a syllabus.

Bb Mini III: Copying & Archiving Course Content
This workshop provides the opportunity to learn how to move course materials into other Blackboard course sites.

Bb Mini IV: Grade Center
The Grade Center enable the instructor to record, post course grades, and calculate the totals.

Bb Mini V: Creating Tests
This workshop will give participants a brief overview on how to create a test in blackboard.

 
 

Screen Capture

Techsmith’s Camtasia is a program that allows the user to create web based tutorials and simulations incorporating audio and video. Faculty can deliver applications on the Web or on CD by video recording screen movements and sound.
 
 

Photoshop

The Adobe™ Photoshop workshop will demostrate editing techniques using photoshop. Participants will resize, recompose and convert the files types of digital images. This images are then re-presented with text in various HTML page formats.

Web Conferencing

This workshop will introduce participants to the process of distributing audio and video content for synchronous web based learning. Faculty will be given step-by-step instructions on the use of the desktop videoconferencing program Blackboard Collaborate (Formerly known as:  Elluminate Live!).
 
 


Online Pedagogy

This workshop contains online best practices resources, an approach to developing an online course interaction and assessment.
