Fine Arts Program

Alumni from the Visual Arts program have been successful educators, practicing artists, art historians, curators, fashion and interior designers, and web and game designers. Many of our students have continued to earn their M.F.A. in some of the most prestigious art schools in the country, including the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Cranbrook Academy of Art, The Ohio State University, Savannah College of Arts & Design, University of Wisconsin- Madison, Rhode Island School of Design, and New York University.  

Our program has a rich history of producing artisans and visual thinkers from across the country that capture their audiences and defy the odds. A number of works by our graduates are collected by various public and private collections including Museum of the Atlanta Life Insurance Company, Barnett Bank of Florida – Jacksonville, Carver Federal Savings Bank, Meek-Eaton Black Archives Research Center and Museum, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Mississippi Museum of Art, National Center for Afro-American Artists, City of Orlando, Daytona News Journal, NCCU Art Museum, Metro-Dade County Building of Public Administration, St. Louis Artists Guild, Xerox Inc., amongst others.

Some of more notable artists that graduated from the program: James Denmark, Kenneth Falana, Niiamar Felder, Dr. Terry Hunter, Lev Mills, Joe Roache, James Tanner, Chire Regans, and Willie C. Reagan from the Florida Highwaymen.
