SOE Centers

Center for Environmental Equity and Justice (CEEJ)

In 1998, the legislature provided funding for the establishment of a Center for Environmental Equity and Justice (CEEJ) at Florida A&M University. The CEEJ operates within the School of the Environment (SOE) which offers B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Environmental Science. The purpose of the Center is to conduct and facilitate research, develop policies, engage in education, training, and community outreach activities with respect to environmental equity and justice issues.

Environmental Cooperative Science Center (ECSC)

The Environmental Cooperative Science Center is a cooperative research and training center sponsored by Florida A&M University and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration relating to the function and significance of coastal ecosystems.

Florida A&M University Center for Environmental Technology Transfer (FAMCETT)

The Florida A&M Center for Environmental Technology Transfer (FAMCETT) is an operational unit within SOE that provides technical and research consultations to state, federal, and international agencies involved in environmental management, education, policy development and planning.
