Welcome The Electronic Engineering Technology (EET)degree program offers a curriculum that focuses on electrical and electronic devices, circuits, systems, and equipments. Electronic Engineering Technology is critical in today's high-tech growth industries such, as wireless communications, computer networking, Radio Frequency circuits and systems. Through the EET program, students are trained to work in various areas, such as communications, digital systems and computing, automatic control and robotics, audio and video systems, medical electronics, etc. Most courses have a required laboratory component in which skills in the use of computers for problem solving, application and use of modern electronic test equipment and microprocessors are developed. Students completing this four-year program will receive a B.S. degree in Electronic Engineering Technology. The program at FAMU is accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (TAC-ABET). Graduates of the Electronic Engineering Technology program are equipped to pursue graduate studies in such fields as Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science and Management. Also, graduates can pursue employment in: the development and testing of new communication devices; the supervision of the manufacture of these devices; specializing in electronics; manufacture and use of various electronic circuits and devices; the field of instrumentation; the use of electronic devices to make measurements such as pressure, temperature, speed, acceleration, voltage and current; and the computing industry as hardware or software technologists. Starting salaries for graduates with B.S. degrees currently range between $42,000 and $55,000 annually. Students with internship and co-op work experience generally command higher salaries.
