This 1 CEU course is for health information management professionals who work in healthcare facilities, including physician practices, and are interested in Phase Two “meaningful use” requirements for the addition of certified electronic health record (EHR) technology to improve healthcare delivery. The final rule specifying the Stage 2 criteria that eligible professionals, eligible hospitals, and critical access hospitals must meet in order to continue to participate in the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs will be discussed.
